Cyanuric Acid level in spa
I have a reading on my HTH test strips of 100 ppm and I have only have had the spa up and going for a little over a week. I use diclor for a sanitizer but seem to have to add everyday to keep free clorine at 3-5ppm.Should I be testing for total chlorine to? Th is 200 ph is7.5-7.8 Ta is 120 and CYA is 100 and last week the CYA was 0 when we first filled. Why would it be climbing that fast? Thanks for any info!!!! This is my first spa so I am a newbie.By the way our closest spa store is a 200 mile round trip.

Unless you're having piss parties every day, keep your sanitizer closer to 3 than 5 ppm.
Quit wasting your time on Cyan levels. Drain and refill every 90 days, more or less acording to your usage per week.
Remember, the more you use a tub, the more sanitizer is needed. The less, then less. There is not really a one size fits all formula.

Thank you I will not worrie about it any more. I was just wondering since the test kit I have has a reading for it. I also thought it might damage pumps or seals. Thanks again! " title="Smile" />
