Do I need to treat water in Unused Hot tub??
We are on our second used hot tub. We do not use it during the coldest months of the year. We drained the first tub every winter. Yes it cracked.
So this time around we have left the water in and let it circulate about a hour a day. Heater only operates for avoiding freeze ups.
My question is.. should we be treating this unused water and if yes.. with what??
Thanks

treat it as though you are using it. Water will get funky in no time if left untreated. Bacteria thrive in hot water, so you want to make sure it is treated as normal. The only difference is you won't have to treat it as often... just a bare minimum of chemical will do the trick.
