Greasy yellowish cottage cheese loooking stuff

Ok I have had a hot tub for 5 years now and have never really taken care of the water just add bromine. Started it up and decided to keep everything in check. I have kept PH,Bromine and Alkilinity in perfect as to what the test strips tell me. 2 weeks went by and i've had maby 10 bathers with a few session lasting 3 hours+. My new filter clogged in 2 weeks and are very greasy. i replaced them with new ones and use some non chlorine shock and a bit of algeacide ( not much) and now I have this very greasy yellowish cottage cheese looking stuff all around the rim of water and floating in water. What is this and how do I stop it from ever happingin again? <img src=" title="Crying or Very sad" />

Do you have blue circulation pump (little giant I think is the brand name)? If so, it's likely to be the front seal failing, allowing the oil-filled motor to leak into the water. The only repair is to replace the pump.

I have a little red circulation pum that is brand new I just installed it before i started the tub up. I sure hope this isnt the problem but if so I have a waranty on the pump.

Could it be exsessive body oil?

if it is excessive body oil, you just really grossed me out... to find out tho, make sure everyone is at least rinsed off before getting in. No makeup, perfumes, lotions, etc. No soaps in the wash for the suits (if worn). That will tell ya in short order if that is the problem.

Also, you should do a water change every 3 or so months.

The red pump is probably a laing? Those aren't oil filled if i remember correctly.
