| Reliable methods for cleaning Spas |
I know this must be the oldest question on this forum, but its important enough to bring up again and discuss. Reason: I am a new spa owner, I am getting mixed opinions, and some are not as reliable. I will be emptying out my spa soon. I need to know what the best cleaners are? Is "CleanAll Spa Surface Cleaner" good enough to clean the spa previous to refilling? Or, are there other products available that are just as good, or better? Thank you.....new spa owner. Wildwood. |

Re: Reliable methods for cleaning Spas
Are you talking about cleaning for the season and closing it up or cleaning between fillings? Me, personally, I have a textured shell so I take a brush with soft nylon bristles and scrub lightly along the waterline and then wipe it down with a soft cloth and hose it off and pump out the wash. Then, I fill her back up again... I try to maintain my tube using the simplest manner possible.
Hardwater from a well. Two types of chlorine (Sodium Hypo in liquid form and DiChlor granular) Dry Acid Baking Soda
That's it. Last year, total chemical costs = less than $50. Oh, I did buy a clarifier after a kids Hot Tub Party made a bit of a mess (add $20 that will last for years and years) and add 1 scumball per two quarters too. Another $10 per year.
