Thoughts on my Chemistry set
Hi All,
my water source is basically fresh from a mountain reservoir.
basically soft and neutral to slightly acidic. On a fresh refill, apx 400 gallons.
Becuase I think speciality spa chemical are grossly over priced I use the following alternatives
Arm and Hammer Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) PH up 1.99 Dri-aire crystals Calcium chloride Water Hardness 3.99 Epsom's salts Magnesium sulphate Stablizer 3.99
How much do I use you ask, 2 cups calcium, 2 cups Mag. Sulphate, 3/4 cup bicarb
compare these prices to what you pay at the store for the speciality brands that do the same thing Before I researched what is in their bottles, I was paying approx 75 a year for the stuff. this only leaves the chlorine and bromine for water sanitation, unfortuantely I have yet found a replacement.
