ph problem

filled my spa up with very hard well water and i`m having a real tough time getting the ph into normal range i`ve used lots of ph down let it circulate for a couple of hours and it still reads high, my question is how much of this ph down do i have to use and if i use too much will it harm anything?

if you have a place close by who'll test water that is best. without that, balance Alkalinity first, then pH, then Calcium Hardness, then chlorine/ bromine.

ph problem

problem is the tub is at my cotage and i won`t get out there till friday so if i have the water tested today it`s going to chane by friday and i`m at square one, the alkalinity is high so i use ph down to try and balance that but it is unreal how much ph down i have used and the ph has hardly moved also

Keep adding PH down- Some wells in this area need a pound or two of PH down. Just keep adding, a few teaspoons at a time, and re-test often. When using amounts that high, it may take 24 hours before reactions are complete.

ME TOO~!

I too fill my spa from a rural well via a water softener. the water tests off the charts high alkaline!!!! takes almost two pounds of ph down to get it neutral. I've tried a liquid product that knocks it down faster but it doesn't stay down. I am concerned about using so much ph down dry powder that it might cause skin trouble.????
