2008 Down East Exeter
I am looking to buy a new Down East Exeter SE (4 Pump Version). The price I was quoted was $9000 plus tax for the tub with delivery and the following items.
LED Lighting
Stereo with Subwoofer
Stainless Jets
Cover
Chem Kit
Cover Lift
Steps
I just want to make sure I am not getting taken to the cleaners. Does this seem like a fair price for this setup? I am not looking for the cheapest price out there as this dealer does seem to be reputable, but I just don't know a lot about hot tub pricing. One of the sales pitches was that I am getting a 2008 at the 2007 prices as Down East has not come out with the 2008 pricing yet. Would I be better off waiting until the home show season to buy?
Thanks

Stay away from stereo crap and special lighting other than a standard led light fixture. Otherwise I have no problem with it.
However you should be able to get a tub like that for a lot less than $9000.
Perhaps 6-7k.
(Just about all those add ons come with all tubs... ignore them).
