Re: Ever heard of HotSpring?

I am pretty sure "Hot Springs" is the lower cost line of Spring Dance, which is a very reputable brand.

Re: Ever heard of HotSpring?

HotSpring are no doubt the largest, and longest established company in the UK. They do give a good service, and you could do much worse than buy from them. But they aren't cheap!

Their running costs comparison is good, but this is done on spas with a 1.5kw heater and 1.65Hp pump. Their larger spas, or ones with bigger heaters/pumps arent compared.

Most other spas in the UK have a 3kw heater and 3hp pump. A 1.5kw heater will really struggle in the winter, and a 1.65 hp pump isnt going to push too much water around.

We compared our Earl to Hotsprings' Prodigy (almost identical spec/size/litres etc) in terms of running costs, and while the Earl does cost a few more pence per day, this equates to £60 over 5 years.

Considering that HS is probably the most expensive brand in the UK, I'd say that the RRP is more relevant than the running costs here.

They have showrooms nationwide so you can go and see their spas, on the other hand someone has to pay for this: their customers.

It depends what you want; if you want the best purchasing experience with a good backup service, money no object, get a HS.

If you are more frugal then shop around - compromises on showroom, or buying online will save you a huge sum - if you are looking at a HS, then you could save 50% by getting an equivalent brand elsewhere...

You also have much better consumer rights (refunds, cooling off period etc) buying online than from a shop in the UK!

Good luck!
