Looking to buy a new Tub
Hello all NB here I was looking to buy a hot tub. I have seen all the ones on Ebay the deals seem to good to be true. Should I stay away from these Hot Tubs listed on EBAY? I know in TN there is a big refurrbished hot tub place I worry these could be sold as new on Ebay.
I live on Long Island NY
Thanks, John

Re: Looking to buy a new Tub
Hello John...... I too am a new spa owner. I looked on the ebay and internet and then craigs list. I thought I should save money and get the best deal but I finally started to visit dealers. I went to the Sundance dealer and they were just not motivated to do much. I then went to Morgan spas as they have been here where I live for maybe 30-35 years. They had several models to look at and 3 had water in them. I asked if I could try one out and they said anytime. I asked lots of questions and tried 2 of the models out but liked the biggest with the most jets in it. There was a tremendous difference. I bought the monaco 850 and I have health issues. The sales staff and overall friendliness of the company sold me. Once I tried it out I was hooked. I would suggest making sure you have someone who can service your spa for any reason. I paid 10k for mine and have a technician that comes to my house. I have a great warranty and I feel that for the money a person is spending he should have a good support team. Those ebay specials look good but you have to figure out who is going to work on them when they go down or something goes wrong. I feel totally secure knowing I have a store for my spa materials and maintenance and they have been first class, even helping me with my sales tax exemption due to medical problems. That saved me 813 dollars in sales tax alone. Another thing to think about is how long will these people be around. I would not want to buy a spa and then see them go belly up or close their doors leaving me in the cold. I would suggest checking out Morgan spas as they are world wide and been in business a long time. Good luck to you. Al
