| New here and need advice! |
Thanks for having me, I am considering buying a Spa for the wife, she has knee and back problems that I hope might help. My questions are many, so here goes:
Is there a certain power I should be looking for? I do not know how powerful of a jet or pump I need. (i.e. 1.5 / 5 etc)
Do the natural products as an option to the chemicals work? I would rather not use the chlorine unless I have to.

Is this a decent model, I was thinking of getting it from Sears: Milestone Jet Spa 6451
Sorry if these have been asked a million times, I do not know where else to ask.
Thanks |

Re: New here and need advice!
What you need to do is feel the jet pressure and not take anyone's word on pump horsepower. Many companies will quote you BREAK horsepower, you need to know Continuous horsepower. I don't know anything about the Sears unit, but check out some things like the jet pressure, warranty, service, and operating costs.
Good Luck |

Re: New here and need advice!
Because of the heat, spas normally use bromine because it does not evaporate out like chlorine does. bromine levels should be in the 3-5ppm range unless an ozone unit is installed, then 2-3ppm is sufficient for sanitization. I believe that the bromine is more cost effective than "homeopathic" products. Also, UV sterilization can be added to further reduce chemical need. Forego the smelly additives and gimmicky spa add-ins for your simple therapeutic needs. Save some moolah for massages! |
