| Used 2003 Hot Springs Sovereign, need some input |
This is our first tub, have a few questions and need some opinions. I am looking at a used 2003 Sovereign. What should I pay for this? The dealer quoted around $3,500 (for maybe a 2000 year tub), a private seller around $3,000 for the 2003.
the dealer does the certified pre owned thing where they replace the circulation pumps and heater on every used tub. What would I expect to pay if I were to have that done on the one we purchase privately? Should I be worried that I would need to do that soon with the privately sold tub?
Also, in 2003 they have the single Blue LED light in the bottom of the tub - does anyone know if you can buy those multi-color LED replacement bulbs for this model? I would like that effect without forking out thousands for a new tub!
Last question. We are planning on building a deck eventually around the tub. We haven't decided completely on the configuration or the placement of this new deck so were considering using crushed rock vs. cement as a base for the tub. Any pros/cons or info for me on how to do that? Obviously we are trying to be as economical as possible!
Thanks! I'm glad to have found this message board! |

Re: Used 2003 Hot Springs Sovereign, need some input
Circ pump is about 165, heater is about 300, and yes, you can put the multi-color LED in the 2003.
I don't like them in decks, so I'm no use there.
Good luck!
