The most revolutionary plastic leak repair and molding compound to hit this industry in years.
Plast-Aid is a patented liquid acrylic (Not an epoxy) that will seal cracked and broken fixtures, particularly PVC, allow you to CREATE your own molded parts, and cures in 15 minutes!
You can make golf-balls with this stuff (well not really) - and repair open cracks in pvc. The resultant repairs have been tested to sustain pressures of up to 600 PSI! And this is an EXTERNAL repair, not done from the inside out. We have used Plast-Aid and definitely vouch for it's ability to seal and repair the plastic components that you don't want to have to replace.
If you're faced with the task of having to repair a cracked or leaking PVC fitting, a freeze cracked manifold or perhaps a filter housing, you should try Plast-Aid first. This is a permanent repair, that chemically bonds with the base material.

Our experience using Plast-Aid is really amazing. We've used it in several situations that were seemingly impossible, but in the end, were always successful. What's really great about Plast-Aid is you've got 'working time' with the product. It is NOT a messy epoxy type compound! This material is an acrylic that is created when you mix the two components together. When first mixed, it's sloppy (Perfect for slopping onto cracked pvc stuff!). As time goes on, it becomes stiffer.. you've got about 15 minutes to make a decision on what to do with the end product, but as time goes on, your options become limited. Please note that mixing ratios are NOT critical - PlastAid is very forgiving. The way we've mixed it is... basically, if it looks like you've got an equal mix of plastic and hardener in the cup, you're good. If you've got too much hardener, just add some extra plastic powder to the mixture and keep going. This stuff is amazing!
At about 10 minutes or so, your "mix" of plastic will start to become quite malleable and you can handle it as if it were silly putty - no kidding. But from that point forward you need to make your decisions regarding the plastic's fate - do you make a marble with it, or fit it into your spa fitting and get on with business?
This product has MANY alternative uses! If you ever have anything plastic that is broken, consider using PlastAid to fix it first, rather than replacing it!
In most "hard" plastic applications, it beats every other repair solution, including silicone, goop, epoxy - everything!
As you can tell, we love this product. You will too.
