SB-1000 Special - Spa Babes SB1000 Pack with Pump and Blower

Inquiry posted on 10/15/04
I have 10 yr old Caldera Summit IIA, 220v with no blower and 2 button +dial type on/off air on top side. Appears to use cold air vice blower. Can I hook up new blower to open 11/2"pvc stub inside pump/controller cabinet? If so, do I need a check valve?
More info on pump and motor and plumbing size-11/2"? 3 mode switch? Would like to make more accessible and have room in front of current location of pack - flex piping probably work?
Response
If your air input into your jets is this 1.5" stub you're talking about, it's one of those trial and error things. You may like the results, and then again you may not.

I've always used flex piping and schedule 40 pvc connections to get the best fit and situation underneath the spa. It works very well. Just be sure you use schedule 40 fittings and never DWV (the short ones) style.

I currently have pack that needs to be replaced but it does not have a blower. What would need to be done to make this pack usable in my spa? What are the dimensions? I have a tight area.
Response
You dont have to use a blower with this system.... but it does support one.
We can deduct from the total pack price the blower if you don't need it.

I have a older spa it is a 110, I want a new spa pack that I can just drop in, and plumb in ( I realize that I may have to alter my existing plumbing)my spa is a polynesian spa approximately 1984. It still works fine it just takes to long to heat up. will this pack work?
Response
Sure will. Its a great little pack... just let us know if you want the pump suction on theleft or right and we'll get it done for you.
