SPASB1000 - Spa Babes, SB-1000 Controller Or Spa Pack
Inquiry posted on 01/15/05 do you offer this model in a 220volt, with a built in GFI
Response Due to inconsistent reliability (as well as hazardous outcomes) of built in GFCI's we no longer offer them with this unit. Your spa/hot tub electrical installation should be sourced with an external GFCI.
The SB1000 is fully convertible to 220 volts.
Inquiry posted on 01/30/05 Will this replace a, Tri-Timer, EM-100 unit?
Response Sure... its a great replacement for any mechanical control out there. I cant say you wont have to do ANY plumbing, but if yours is using a straight flow thru heater similar to this with flex plumbing then it should fit right in with virtually no modifications.
Inquiry posted on 02/11/05 I have a SpaBabes SB-1000 that I bought about 1 1/2 years ago. The high limit switch is giving me a fit. It will not stay in for more than a day or two at the time. The water temp is only 102 degrees. What do I do? I think it should last more than 18 months.
Response First thing you want to KNOW..is that it's not doing it job. Hi limits can trip for a reason...primarily low water flow. Make sure your spa is at the proper water level and that your filter is clean. Also make sure that your pump is running consistently with good flow out of the jets (especially on low speed). Sometimes this can happen at the high end of the cycle. The pump turns off and the heater does too...but the element is still hot and with no water flowing...can trip the Hi limit. See if you can isolate what exatly is happening. We've no problem replacing for you at no charge but we want to be sure the issue is not a flow related issue.
Inquiry posted on 06/16/05 I have a Corsica 679k "jacuzzi" mod #-8200000 MFG: 1089-04 SER: 119508 I need a control pac compatible.
Response Unfortunately there is no "Big Book" on hot tub brands that tells us which system will be compatible, please note that we can NEVER identify any parts inside of a spa based on the spa model, a digital picture of your current control configuration would be greatly helpful with determining what new control should be used.
Inquiry posted on 10/19/05 I recently purchased this product from you guys. I have it installed and all seems to be working well but I have a question about settings. If I am using the control panel for heat adjustments what do I turn the knob to inside the hot tub on the control box/heater unit? I had them both turned up high but I will get a clicking sound at times from the control box/heater unit and the heater light will blink on and off. It seems as though its the internal switch turning on and off. What am I doing wrong?
Response The knob on the control box needs to be turned down all the way all the time, this will allow your topside controller to have full control.
