Inquiry posted on 10/17/04 I am looking for a replacement pump for a Coleman model 411 spa purchased in 1997. It is fitted with a flo-master HP, model: 02120250-111.
The motor is a Magnetek, 230V, 2HP.
The unit is starting to squeal and I am sure it will go soon.
1 Do you have a direct replacement for this motor/pump?
2 Do you have a more powerful option, such as 3 HP?
3 Is there any problem with upgrading to a 3HP?
Thanks for your help | Response The correct replacement for your pump assembly is the Aqua-Flo FMHP Spa Pump.
Unfortunately, for you to increase the horsepower you would need to increase the size of the plumbing fittings to the 2" version (the one you're looking at here).
Yours is a 1.5" Spa Pump - and is rated for about 120GPM at 15psi. So if you wanted to go through the hassle of changing the plumbing fittings, it's about the only way you could upgrade to a bigger pump. Changing motor sizes won't help either as the rotation speed between a 3hp and a 2hp version is the same, 3450/1725 rpm.
| Inquiry posted on 12/01/04 Is this an exact replacement for the Wavemaster 7000; 1.65 HP Continuous Duty, 3.5 HP Breakdown Torque that is in my Hot Springs Jetsetter? In other words, if I purchase this, can you guarantee that it will fit and work in my 10-year old Hot Springs Jetsetter spa? | Response Well in life there are virtually no guarantees! But this is the pump that Hot Springs used on just about everything they made - so it should be an exact fit. (I have run into situations where wet ends were replaced by a previous tech which changed things... but if your wet end looks like this one, then it will work.)
| Inquiry posted on 07/01/05 What is the procedure to change the direction of the wetend outlet? For example in the pictures of the pumps on your site all outlets at pointing to 12:00. How does a person change the outlet to point to 9:00?
| Response Simply unscrew the 4 long 1/4" bolts from the back of the motor (do not remove the bolts), then unscrew the impeller slightly to allow you to rotate the wet end to where you want it to go, then screw them back in. Takes about 3 minutes.
